Mission Statement | Goals & Objectives | History & Purpose | Articles | Press Releases | Board Of Directors | Staffing Goals & Objectives The children who come to CcTC have severe mental health and behavioral problems. They have often been neglected, abused, or have encountered other traumatic situations that leave them developmentally, socially, and emotionally effected. In every case, the family is in need of intensive support services. These services are continuous, consistent, integrated, comprehensive and flexible in order to meet the needs of families and caregivers who are often struggling in emotionally and economically impoverished life circumstances. Children’s Crisis Treatment Center is dedicated to addressing the needs of socially and emotionally disordered children whose mental health problems arise from a variety of factors, including physical and sexual abuse, severe trauma, family stress and neurological developmental impairments. CcTC serves these children regardless of the family's financial status. The children are offered a healing early childhood experience through a therapeutic developmental approach. Children from the Philadelphia community are provided with evaluation, treatment, habilitation, and community integration, while their families receive case management, parent education and behavioral intervention. CcTC is dedicated to providing professional training to interns in psychology, education, and social work as well as consulting and outreach activities in the community. CcTC provides comprehensive psychological evaluation, assistance, and therapy to children from 2 to 14 years of age. The intervention of CcTC allows these children the resources to develop appropriate social, cognitive, and behavioral responses in light of their trauma or circumstance. CcTC provides each child with a specific treatment plan which allows the child and their family to utilize the resources of CcTC in the most unrestrictive and natural setting possible. |
